More than 25 years of craft
Barrel & Stone Interiors began with a love for antiques and an instinct for seeing what a tired piece could become. Founder Chad McDaniel spent years experimenting with painting, distressing, and finishing techniques before developing the detailed process that now defines the Barrel & Stone look.
Today, every refreshed piece is still finished individually from beginning to completion. The smallest details matter, because the goal is not simply to repaint furniture. It is to uncover its personality and create something that feels completely at home in the space where it belongs.
Color with character
Our signature finishes are applied by hand, allowing the details, texture, and age of each piece to remain part of its story.
A softened blue with a collected European character.
A warm, grounded neutral designed to complement natural materials.
A muted botanical green with depth and relaxed elegance.
A warm, creamy finish that brightens a piece without feeling stark.
A versatile weathered neutral with quiet sophistication.
The Barrel & Stone process
Every refreshed piece moves through a detailed seven-step process developed over more than 25 years. The result is a finish with depth, character, and unmistakable attention to detail.
Every piece is assessed individually for structure, surface, history, and potential.
Careful surface preparation is what allows a hand-applied finish to last.
Joints, veneer, drawers, and hardware are addressed before any color is considered.
Color is applied by hand in controlled layers so depth builds gradually.
Artistic distressing brings out detail, age, and the personality of the piece.
A durable finishing stage protects the surface for everyday living.
A final detailed inspection confirms the piece is ready for its next home.

Cabinet refresh
A thoughtful cabinet refresh can completely change the feeling of a kitchen without replacing every cabinet. Barrel & Stone Interiors offers custom cabinet painting and finishing designed to complement your home, style, and existing layout.
Every project requires an individual evaluation.
When we decided to renovate our kitchen, we wanted something that matched our style and had a custom, personal feel. We could not be happier with the results. The cabinets look incredible in a beautiful distressed French Gray, and the team helped us get exactly what we wanted.
If you enjoy the thrill of the hunt and are looking for unique pieces, keep this place on your radar. I have purchased three pieces of furniture, and every visit feels like a true picking experience.
Several rooms in our home now have one of their creations. We have brought in furniture that has been in our family for generations, and they transformed those tired pieces into gorgeous, timeless masterpieces.
